About
UsSince 1928, United Way of
Fort Smith Area has provided change in our area. We
mobilize our community in ways that no single agency,
individual, or government can to enhance the ability of
people to care for one another.
United Way addresses the needs important to people who
live and work in Crawford, Franklin, LeFlore, Logan,
Sebastian and Sequoyah counties.
We do this by:
- Bringing the community together
to address critical issues such as early learning
and hunger.
- Investing in programs that
provide the education, childcare, shelter and food
that people need to be successful.
- Encouraging people to contribute
money and time to improve the communities we serve.
Mission – To improve lives by
connecting people and resources in our
six-county area.
Vision – To be a community problem solver for
our six-county area.
A local volunteer board of directors
governs United Way of Fort Smith Area with all decisions
made locally. Several hundred volunteers help with the
campaign and with a variety of other activities. This
United Way is independent of all other United Ways.
