Planter's Fundraiser
Planter's employees recently held a fundraiser to benefit United Way's Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program. For every $30 donated (the annual cost to sponsor a child), a picture of a child reading a book was placed on a large poster for all to see. Employees raised more than $600 for Imagination Library. All funds will be used to sponsor 20 children on the program. Currently, United Way has more than 900 children from Sebastian and Franklin Counties enrolled in the program. Recently, the program was opened up to also include children in Crawford and Logan Counties.
For information, or to enroll or sponsor a child on the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program, please contact Megan Marquet at megam.marquet@unitedway.org or call 782-1311.
