The United Way of Fort Smith Area is proud to introduce the 2021 Tyson Summer Community Internship Program. This partnership with Tyson Foods provides an invaluable opportunity for select college students to gain professional experience while making a positive impact in our community. The program provides full-time college students an eight-week paid summer internship to assist community organizations and gain experience with diverse social issues. In addition, students will attend three 90-minute educational sessions during the program to build business-related skills including leadership, professionalism, critical thinking, collaboration, and interpersonal communication. We are excited to offer the Birkman Method personality assessment and workshop this year to foster their self-awareness to enhance personal and professional growth.
The application will open on January 28 and the deadline for students to apply is February 28, 2021. This is open to students outside of our area if they will be coming home for the summer. There are 19 quality internship opportunities available in Sebastian, Crawford, LeFlore, and Sequoyah counties. To view a complete listing of the internship opportunities please visit https://unitedwayfortsmith.org/community/tyson-internship-program/.
