Professional Golf Returns To Ft Smith
All Pro Tour Partners With United Way of Fort Smith Area
Dallas TX – Sept 26, 2019 – The All Pro Tour and the United Way of Fort Smith Area has announced a two-year
partnership that will bring professional golf back to Ft Smith Arkansas. The United Way Charity Golf Classic
presented by Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will feature 132 of the best PGA hopefuls competing on
Hardscrabble CC, one of Arkansas’ top-rated golf courses.
“We are excited to bring pro golf back to the Ft Smith area. Hardscrabble CC is a great test of golf and a perfect
setting for this event. Ft Smith has a great legacy of hosting professional golf events and we are certain this will be
one of the best events on our 2020 schedule,” says Gary DeSerrano, President of All Pro Tour. “
The inaugural United Way Charity Golf Classic presented by Cherokee Casino and Hotel Roland will be held
May 4th – 9th, 2020 at Hardscrabble. The week will include a pro-am event, clinics, parties and a 72-hole
championship finishing on Saturday, May 9th. The tournament purse is expected to be $130,000 with the tournament
champion taking home $30,000.

early commitments to ensure the success of the tournament. Most importantly, 100% of the sponsorship’s and

About the APT
In operation since 1994, the APT represents one of the best development opportunities for golf professionals in the
USA to hone their competitive skills, while preparing for a life on the PGA Tours. Past players include Bubba Watson
and Ryan Palmer. Field commitments are generally posted 9 days prior to the event. The professional field will
consist of recent college graduates, conditional members of the PGA and Korn Ferry Tours, as well as players from
Canada and South American.
