UWFSA Endowment Fund

The United Way of Fort Smith Area is proud to announce the transformative power of its Endowment Fund. This vital resource covers all internal costs, including staff salaries and utility expenses. Thanks to this fund, 100% of donations can be directed to partner agencies and programs, ensuring that every contribution directly and meaningfully impacts the community.

Established in December 1990, the Endowment was created to provide perpetual support to the United Way service center. This strategic financial foundation allows donors the flexibility to make charitable contributions in ways that suit them best. Through these generous contributions, United Way annually invests in a diverse array of health and human service programs that address immediate needs and underlying issues to foster lasting, positive change.

A significant contributor to this Endowment was the late Mr. Rollie Boreham, whose bequest was pivotal in fulfilling the dream of covering administrative expenses solely through Endowment earnings. His vision ensures that every dollar from the annual campaign is allocated directly to local non-profit agencies and programs of United Way.

Mr. Boreham’s generosity continues to fuel the success of United Way of Fort Smith Area and its partner agencies. With this enduring support, United Way impacts thousands of individuals annually across a six-county service area, ensuring children succeed, communities strengthen, basic needs are met, and adults achieve independence. United Way of Fort Smith Area remains committed to building a resilient and thriving community, thanks to the unwavering partnership and support fueled by its Endowment Fund.
